Bio
Brian is a baseball coach in Charlottesville, Virginia's Northside Cal Ripken League. He was fortunate to have Carson Raymond play on his team for three seasons. Carson exemplified the values of “The Ripken Way” and of Northside baseball. Brian looks forward to helping more children to experience the opportunities--for fun, skill development, character-building, learning a healthy lifestyle and for developing high aspirations--that t-ball and youth baseball have to offer. A native of Holyoke, Massachusetts (Birthplace of Volleyball!), Brian is a lifelong Boston Red Sox Fan. Next to playing sports with young people, Brian enjoys nothing more than a good story, from Dante and Dostoyevsky to cheese ball science fiction. He is working on a handful of writing projects (both fiction and scholarly books) and someday, despite all expectations to the contrary, he may actually complete one of them. (Note: since 2004, Red Sox fans have become a much more optimistic lot). In his professional life, he is the Associate Director for Communications at the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics where he leads the Project on Public Trust in Business.
